چکیده

Fibrous scaffolds based on biodegradable and biocompatible polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) were produced by electrospinning. The coated a thin solid film of polypyrrole, PPyI, deposited plasma polymerization technique. FTIR Raman spectroscopy results confirm the presence PPyI PHB fibers, in can be show signal NH2 groups characteristic so broad band due to fluorescence from coating. morphology was characterized scanning electron microscopy, average fiber diameter is (2.68 ± 1.69) ?m, also fibers PHB-PPyI (3.57 1.36) comparation uncoated indicates that thickness 0.45 ?m. Crystallinity X-ray diffraction differential calorimetry, degree crystallinity estimated at 70%. Pancreatic beta cells (from RIN-M cell line) cultured scaffolds. Cell viability showed surface modified material good culture substrate for cells.

Control of protein adsorption on functionalized electrospun fibers.

Electrospun fibers that are protein resistant and functionalized with bioactive signals were produced by solution electrospinning amphiphilic block copolymers. Poly (ethylene glycol)-block-poly(D,L-lactide) (PEG-b-PDLLA) was synthesized in two steps, with a PEG segment of 10 kDa, while the PDLLA block ranged from 20 to 60 kDa. Depending on the PEG and PDLLA segment ratio, as well as solvent sel...

Electrospun Polyhydroxybutyrate and Poly(L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone) Composites as Nanofibrous Scaffolds

Electrospinning can produce nanofibrous scaffolds that mimic the architecture of the extracellular matrix and support cell attachment for tissue engineering applications. In this study, fibrous membranes of polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) with various loadings of poly(L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone) (PLCL) were successfully prepared by electrospinning. In comparison to PLCL scaffolds, PLCL blends with P...

Functionalized and Electrospun Polymeric Materials as High-Performance Membranes for Direct Methanol Fuel Cell: A Review

Proton exchange membranes (PEM) for a direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC) have main drawbacks which are methanol permeability, reduced proton conductivity and the cost of the membrane. This paper reviews different polymeric materials such as fluorinated, non-fluorinated, acid-base complex, and composite membranes for DMFC. Currently, nonfluorinated membranes gain a lot of atte...

Anisotropic oxygen plasma etching of colloidal particles in electrospun fibers.

Oxygen plasma etching of electrospun polymer fibers containing spherical colloids is presented as a new approach towards anisotropic colloidal nanoparticles. The detailed morphology of the resulting nanoparticles can be precisely controlled in a continuous way. The same approach is also amenable to prepare inorganic nanoparticles with double-sided patches.

Cytocompatible cross-linking of electrospun zein fibers for the development of water-stable tissue engineering scaffolds.

This paper reports a new method of cross-linking electrospun zein fibers using citric acid as a non-toxic cross-linker to enhance the water stability and cytocompatibility of zein fibers for tissue engineering and other medical applications. The electrospun structure has many advantages over other types of structures and protein-based biomaterials possess unique properties preferred for tissue ...
